After 37 years of this being my only car, it has finally become time to part with my trusty Scirocco. Bought for me as a company car in 1987, I have been the only driver although it has had a few legal owners. After failing it's MoT and requiring some welding, I bought another car and sadly decided that my much loved Scirocco would fair better in the hands of someone who would use it, or at least has a garage. The engine runs well but there is some rust and a water leak into the boot as well as signs of 37 years of use. If you want to be stared at in awe and photographed as you drive along then this is the car for you. Often mistaken for a DeLorean, many think this car has came from the future, or even the past! If that does not satisfy you then you can marvel at the fully functional heating system and air cooling window winders! Last year I got an average of 52 MPG from the 1.6L engine so you can drive in the smug comfort of low emissions and running economy.
